Counterfeit Recovery Exchange Program

Products purchased from the counterfeiting organization using the hijacked domain names dualbandchinstrap.com and knightsbridgesleepsolutions.com since October 2023 may suffer from inferior workmanship or poor quality control, such sizing issues.  We appreciate that you also may have been a victim of the counterfeiting, and to assist those who unwittingly purchased a counterfeit, we offer a counterfeit exchange program.  Please contact me at larry@knightsbridgedualband.com to make arrangements.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

About our counterfeiter

This website is operated by me, Larry/Laurence Jay Shaw, the inventor of the chin strap of WIPO patent publication WO 2021007181 A1, the holder of US Trademark No. 7513228 for KNIGHTSBRIDGE, US Trademark No. 6120858 for DUAL BAND, and Copyright Registration VA 2-473-200, and the founder of Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions.

An organization is operating under the name of our company using the website posted at dualbandchinstrap.com and knightsbridgesleepsolutions.com.  This company's use of our company name and infringement of our copyrights and trademarks is the subject of federal racketeering lawsuit 4:24-cv-05826-HSG.

After attempts to evade service of the summons and complaint, the court has ruled that Guatemala-residing defendant Edwin Dario Manzano Garcia has been served and is under the jurisdiction of the federal court, and his trial is scheduled for April 2027.  Service of process on Guatemala-residing co-conspirator Veronica Rosibel Manzano Garcia is in process via the Inter-American Convention on Letters Rogatory.  In the meantime however, this organization remains in operation and Mr. Garcia is spreading slanderous falsehoods in public forums where he can lie with impunity, such the post below he made on ApneaBoard.com.  (Update: He has now been banned from ApneaBoard.com.)

Two points basically sum up what is going on ….

1.  Mr. Garcia "categorically denies all allegations ... of hacking ... or illegal activities" ...

I operate three businesses ... (i) I market another of my inventions, a toy called Astrojax®, (ii) I am a federally registered patent agent doing business under the name Integral Patent, and (iii) I market my invention, the Knightsbridge Dual Band chin strap, through my company Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions,

About one week after I made an emergency return from Guatemala to the US for diagnosis and treatment for an aggressive lymphoma, defendant Edwin Dario Manzano Garcia (aka Edwin Manzoni, aka Edwin Manzano, herein referred to as "Mr. Garcia"), an employee of my company who functioned as the production floor manager and had administrative access to the electronic assets of Knightsbridge, hijacked the Guatemala production facility and all electronic assets of the company, and began a campaign of hacking and sabotage of core operational assets of Knightsbridge and my other two outside businesses, leaving me financially and operationally incapacitated while I was also physically incapacitated with cancer and chemotherapy.

To the right is a text from Mr. Garcia sent shortly after his hijacking of my company where he informs me that he has also hacked my Integral Patent email account and our new post-hijacking Knightsbridge domain name (knightsbridgesleep.com).

Below is a text from Mr. Garcia informing me he has also “compromised” the Astrojax website.

This is an enlargement of the avatar of the texts above from Mr. Garcia, who "categorically denies all allegations ... of hacking ... or illegal activities."

He also has used this as his Facebook avatar for weeks at a time.

This page from a jurisdiction filing provides a partial list of the unlawful activities committed by Mr. Garcia for which supporting evidence has been submitted to the court.  (The counterfeiting organization currently dominates Google search using my trademarks KNIGHTSBRIDGE and DUAL BAND, in part due to the hacking and theft of our Google Adwords account as per item (i) below.)

Mr. Garcia is furthermore engaging in identity theft.  Above is an email from Walmart.com in response to my trademark infringement complaint stating that the counterfeiting operation is using my name.

To the right is a page of a Motion for Leave to Amend the Amended Complaint to Add Claims for Identity Theft filed February 28, 2026 informing the court of Garcia's unauthorized use of my name, address and Social Security number in furtherance of his counterfeiting operations.

On July 26, 2026, the court granted leave to amend to include claims for identity theft.

2.   Mr. Garcia says that I “did not invent the product alone,” and the Our Story page of his counterfeiting website claims that he and I invented the product together while I was staying in Guatemala

The counterfeiter's Our Story -- which presumably Mr. Garcia feels would justify his theft of my company and use of my intellectual properties and identity -- is a fabrication.  I was not in Guatemala when I invented the product, and Mr. Garcia had nothing to do with its invention.

As per the cover sheet of the patent publication, the Priority Data shows that the two initial patent filings for the patent application were on July 5, 2019 and July 25, 2019.

And as shown by the email below dated July 8, 2019, I was in the United States developing the product during this period.

The lawsuit is filed under the federal racketeering (RICO) statutes.  The RICO statutes allow an entity to file a civil lawsuit which includes criminal statutes in cases such as this where the business model of the organization involves a “pattern” of “predicate racketeering acts” targeting the entity.

The current status of this situation is:
   *  Shopify has terminated hosting services to the counterfeiter.
   *  The Patent and Trademark Office has invalidated the counterfeiter's trademark application for the business name "Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions."
   *  The Copyright Claims Board has dismissed a fraudulent copyright claim by the counterfeiter following an order to show cause for bad faith due to repeated false statements.
   *  Paypal and Stripe have ceased providing financial services to the counterfeiting website.
   *  Amazon and Walmart have shut down operations of the counterfeiting organization on their platform.
   *  Sleeplay, AdaptHealth and Sika have ceased distribution of counterfeit product.

The following distributors continue to sell counterfeit product from this organization: CPAP Outlet.ca, BMedical, Home Med, Breathe Well, and CPAP Store USA.

Google Search is almost completely dominated by counterfeits due to the counterfeiter's (i) use of my identity to evade my intellectual property enforcement with Google and (ii) unlawful access and misappropriation of my Google Adwords account.  I have been banned from Reddit and CPAPtalk.com for attempting to post about the counterfeiting, so if you use those forums and see people posting about the Knightsbridge chin strap it would be very much appreciated if you would warn people that keyword searches (rather than using a link to this site) will lead them to counterfeits.

If you are in Canada, please support our authorized Canadian distributor,
CPAP Supply Canada.  If you are in the UK, please support our authorized UK distributor, Sleep Tight.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding this matter, feel free to contact me directly or post online and I will respond publicly.
